Benefit of EZ Clutch, It Works Fine

Interesting argument but I have to fully agree with Mac and Vech. I've had an EZ clutch on three of my Airheads and none have experienced any issues with thousands of miles and rough shifting at times on my part. One has over 60k miles with no problems. I've used the EZ clutch on both 4 speeds and 5 speeds. Part of my regular maintenance is to check the adjustment which takes just a few minutes. The difference in the clutch pull is well worth the investment. It's a very straight forward fulcrum concept that I've found to work wonderfully especially with these older hands of mine.

Ducdude, what you assert has not been my or many others experience at all. There actually is plenty of disengagement, clutch and gear disengagement has been discussed at length with Reg Pridmore at many CLASS courses as he discusses proper shifting techniques and application of the clutch and clutch lever at length at all his classes.
Call and ask Vech at Bench Mark Works and see if he agrees with your logic and your assertion.
I do not agree with you, but my mileage may vary.

You logic is not quite sound Mac,
Reduced effort means reduced throw at the thrust bearing means you do not have the optimal disengagement of the clutch with this toy. The Distance the leaver moves does not change but the throw at the other end does that is why it is easier.
You may want to pack a spare clutch and gear box and cable as you could be putting the reminder of the system at risk by not having it properly set up. More so in the /5 and up then the /2 it seems.
I had one and eliminated it. Even with my f-ed up hands I never felt the pull on a /2,/5,/6,/7 to be to hard even with the killer spring the R90 has..
Your bike your money your opportunity to bond with the innards of your drive train when this farkle leaves you stranded.
You have been warned.

Subject: Benefit of EZ Clutch
I ordered and installed an EZ Clutch pull from Bench Mark Works some time ago and really like the greatly reduced clutch pull.
Well I found out today that due to the greatly reduced clutch pull, the clutch cable will now last a lot longer, IOW much less pull on the cable = far longer clutch cable life and that reduces the necessity to have to carry an extra clutch cable. Although I still will carry an extra one!
