Ducdude, what you assert has not been my or many others experience at all.
There actually is plenty of disengagement, clutch and gear disengagement
has been discussed at length with Reg Pridmore at many CLASS courses as he
discusses proper shifting techniques and application of the clutch and
clutch lever at length at all his classes.

Call and ask Vech at Bench Mark Works and see if he  agrees with your logic
and your assertion.

I do not agree with you, but my mileage may vary.
