Benefit of EZ Clutch, It Works Fine

A data point:

I have an EZ Clutch on each of my (NJ) airheads: a 75 R90S and a 77 R100RS. The R90S installation is completely reliable; once the EZ was adjusted, it's remained in adjustment for thousands of miles. On the other hand, the R100RS adjustment needs to be tweaked regularly. I always wondered why, and Tom's explanation of different end-play makes sense to me.

I remain a fan of the EZ-Clutch, but if it's not kept perfectly adjusted, the possibility of expensive failure is there.
