slide needlenotch position Noton 850

All apologies if you get this twice, 

I am getting some conflicting data from the manuals but I want to confirm that the stock needle position on a 74 Norton 850 in the 932 Amals is in the leanest position that is the clip is in the top notch of the three on the slide needle aka.(all the way down).
