[dvnr] Amperage question, and gathering

Hi all,
Does anyone know what’s the maximum amps drawn on a 1975 MK3 (my Hi Rider)?
I’d like to put a fuse in line so I can break the circuit when charging it
with the battery on the bike.
If you all remember, I have a strange problem when charging, where the
Iights turn on (ignition and lights are off).  You can’t turn them off
until you disconnect the battery. Won’t even turn off just pulling the
charger off.  No one has been able to figure this one out.  Everything is
fine any other time. So throwing an in line fuse in, I could just pull the
fuse.   Just want to make sure I but a high enough fuse in (it’s not acting
like a fuse, more like a jumper in this case).
Also - what date is the gathering ?
