Wow, this sounds a lot like what I'm doing.   Mine's an '80, but sat 
under a tarp for five years.   I'm stripping it to the frame and am 
planning on complete new EME harnesses.   I have an Enduralast III 
charging system on the way, still trying to decide on the ignition.   I 
have the EDL III and crank-mounted EME ignition on my /6 and the 
ignition I'm not 100% crazy about.  So I might go with Rick Jones' Alpha 
v3 points-in-a-can replacement.

So the EME stock repro harnesses might need to be modified.

TLDR version:

I will be watching your progress with considerable interest.
