the way I see this FDFailure is   ::

   BMW NA    could care LESS about their failures and SUPPORT to customers
who have
 ...   or    About to have a FDFailure.      the main reason the
independent registurer was set up many years ago was so owner/ riders could
get an idea as to just how many 'joined the FD club'
but truly Only   BMWNA   knows the true failure rate,

maybe they informed NTSB          or      maybe like   VW   they  just
forgot to tell the whole truth  . it's still very much an issue  with past
FDFailure owners wanting compensation for the factory   /engineering
failures  they paid cold hard cash to fix.      i say   " bravo  finito "
 to management @ NA and germany  for not watching the owner's  6     & bmw
new bikes a long time ago.

that's why as my LongDistance 1000/day  Bike is a Honda

we'll see ya on the road somewhere.....
