[MDairheads] tire mounting

Fred,

I have never liked mounting my own tires and I'm not very good at it either. I've had tires mounted by Myer's Motorcycle shop in Kensington (not cheap), Bob's (also not cheap) and the local Honda Dealer around the corner from me (the cheapest but still almost $50)

What's needed is a small independent shop and I found one. I usually take the wheel off the bike and take it and my new tire and tube to them. I've offered to come back later for it but they always do it right away and always charge me too little, but I forget now what I have paid, I always tip Rusty the guy who does the work something to make up for the cheap price I get.

Cycles of Silver Spring

They are also a Royal Enfield Dealer.

Tell them I sent you. They know my R90/6 altho I haven't been by to visit for awhile. Rusty (or is it Rush?) drives an early Dodge Cummins Diesel pick up that my house mate Gary has worked on.

 Hey all,

Do you guys mount/balance your own
tires?  Or do you pay a shop to do it?
I've mounted my own tires in the past,
but I'm considering having a shop do
it if I can find one that is
 reputable/reasonably priced.

 If I recall correctly, Bob's won't
mount tires that you buy from elsewhere.

 thanks!
