[MDairheads] tire mounting

Fred,

1st and only time I've had Airhead tires mounted was under the tutelage of Jedi master Dave Larrabee while at Chris Kennedy's recent Technobarn.

Prior to that I've used Atlantic Cycle & Power on Rte 301 in White Plains, MD. for tire mounting but that was exclusively on Japanese bikes. Didn't see anything unusual or unique re: spoked Airhead wheels during my Padawan tire training that would lead me to believe Atlantic couldn't handle Beemer tire changes.

They had no problem with me bringing in my own tires. Might be a bit of a drive depending on where you live though. White Plains is between Waldorf and La Plata.

Kevin

Subject: [MDairheads] tire mounting

Hey all,

Do you guys mount/balance your own tires? Or do you pay a shop to do it?
I've mounted my own tires in the past, but I'm considering having a shop do
it if I can find one that is reputable/reasonably priced.

If I recall correctly, Bob's won't mount tires that you buy from elsewhere.

thanks!
