My sympathies. I know the struggle far too well. I've had seven (7) surgeries so far in 2021, four were cardiac. right now I'm on stress limitation, no lifting, etc. On Friday I will start doing seminars at the Vintage BMW Rally, both my own seminars and pinch-hitting for Udo Gietl who can't be there.
We need to get some young guys trained up in this stuff fast!

"comma but"
Two weeks ago I started passing gallstones and was in the ER twice, the
second time on 24-hour wait for an operating room at the level 1/2
facility that could remove a *perforated* gall bladder over the weekend.
Then oops, it's not perforated, you can go home.
Yesterday I had my gall bladder removed and recovery time is at least 2
weeks, maybe 3, surgery took 2 hours instad of 90 minutes. No lifting
anything over 10# for at least 2 weeks and I'm on Norco for most of next
week. At least is was lapro and I could go in at 07:30 and check out at
14:00, no two-three day observation day like in previous decades.
Oh well, maybe next year. I should have the bike exhaust upgraded by
then and maybe, finally, finish my adaptors for mounting R100 bags on an
R80 frame. (Which is waaaaay more complicated than I thought when I
started last Spring.)
