Sidecar subframe R100RT

Be very careful Andrew, BMW has stern warnings against mounting sidecars to that frame of yours. In short it doesn’t have the structural integrity. You must modify or beef up the mounting areas and an Earles type front fork is highly recommended. Do your homework before you begin and ask lots of questions.

Call Claude Stanley at Freedom Sidecars, Route 522, Middleburg, PA (570.837.5120)

He will have some valuable information for you and hopefully lead you in the right direction.

Please give him a call; he’s a nice guy and always willing to help.

Morning all -

I just joined Airheads this week after buying my first Airhead - 1984 R100RT.

I want to make a sidecar rig out of it - essentially the same setup as Snowbums RT rig. I'm looking for the sidecar subframe that attaches to the bike.

If you have one you would like to get out of your hair please let me know.

I am also looking for a Ural-type sidecar tub and frame if you have one of those.

Looking forward to driving this to an event soon as.

Thanks,

Andrew
