Sorry......but you cannot paint all sealants with the same broad brush.  
Some sealants.....yes......but Hylomar Blue is not fuel or oil soluble.

Because sealants are formulated of different fractions, some of which are fuel soluble, and others are not. 
This dissolution of some fractions allows trace amounts of sealant to migrate through the fuel system, 
where it partially blocks the tiny passages in carbs and injectors, changing the fuel metering.
