Yes I was thinking that the screen is the crush washer since there is NO washer on the Max's fiche.More concerning is that the screen is not sold seperately which stinks.I'll review again since i don't want to buy a 45$ each petcock for just a screen.

lastly chris mentions the threading on the [petcock nut is counter to the "righty tighty, loosey lefty rule.

You are correct. A new type screen with the built in aluminum crush washer will be your seal. The old washers were a red fiber washer. The newer screen setup will keep more tank debris out of the fuel system.
