I 'simple' Air/Fuel mixtures screw question - Bing Carbs

Hi All,

Hope you are well and out riding : )

 

I know the procedure(s) for syncing the carbs on my R65LS but I don’t have a deep understanding of how the carbs/jets work.

What I want to know is:

 

When turning the air/fuel mixture screw under the Bing carb, which way (in/out) enrichens and which way leans?

My spark plug on left side is not as tan as I know it should be so I want to richen that mixture.
