It's the opposite for an older slide carb fyi.

Hi all -

I separated the faceplate from the body on my dash switches to get them out
of the dash.  When I did that the innards became outards and made a break
for it.  Now I don't have all the pieces.

Anyone have one?  I'm hoping to leave my switches soldered in and just
replace the innards.

On September 10th, one month from now, all who attend the MD Airheads Last
Days of Summer Rally will be gathering for the Friday night meal at our
usual location under the pavilion at the Little Orleans Campground of
Western Maryland.

I have had a good response from people so far with early registrations, but
there is still room for folks that want to join the fun.

We have reserved the same group camping site at the Little Orleans
Campground. The campground is under new ownership and I've been told they
now have Wi-Fi!

We'll be out there by noon Thursday September 9th. Dinner is on you
Thursday... We'll have coffee and lite  breakfast fare Friday, Saturday,
and Sunday. Dinner will be served Friday and Saturday.

$55 gets you three nights of camping, breakfast and coffee three days, and
dinner two nights.

Attendance is limited to 60 people, so reserve your spot by paying in

I've been contacted by the Director of Museum Advancement for the AACA
Museum in Hershey PA regarding their desire to feature a comprehensive
display of BMW motorbikes at the museum during the year 2023 to celebrate
the 100 year anniversary of BMW Motorrad. 

 

The museum would like for me to gather as many significant BMW motorbikes as
we feel necessary to make for a nice display.  The display would start
around April of 2023 and continue for approximately 6 months.  If you would
need to pull out your motorbike for any reason during that time, it is not a
problem, because we plan to have back up machines, ready to take their
place.

 

I've been to a couple of these motorbike displays over the past years and
they really do a wonderful job with the themes and designs.  If you have a
nice museum quality and significant BMW bike that you would like to display
at the museum for a few months or for the entire tenure, please let me know.

 

I plan to visit the museum soon to see the latest display and discuss
business with the director.  The current display features, mini bikes and
scooters;

I want to sell my '89 GS bumblebee. Would you post it on the PA, NJ, VA, NY,

it to one of the locals here in the east if possible.
Attached is a pdf with all the info. Also a couple of photos taken 2 years 
ago- pre covid. Here's a short version of the info:

1989 GS R100 Bumblebee, 48,000 miles, Asking $8K
Bike is in great condition and rides & runs great. It has been garaged since 
we got it. It has had the circlip done, a bunch of upgrades, and has new 
Conti trail attack tires installed. More details on the attached pdf.
I originally intended to get into off road riding, but find that I just [UTF-8?]don???t 
have the time for it. What little time I do find to get out and ride, I 
prefer to take my R75 on road trips.
The GS is currently registered in NH, and gets taken out a couple times a 
month.
We are located in southern NH, between Portsmouth and Concord.

Hi Walt.
There is a huge amount of information, owners and BMW repair manuals, etc.,
at the Vintage BMW Motorcycles website:
vintagebmw.org

Look up the R27 model info, it?s great.

We have a copy of the 1923 R32 owners manual for instance, plus much more.

Not color coded, but it is in the owners manual and the repair manual, see
above website.

Not hard to follow though!
