   The PA Airheads will be hosting the 63rd 5th Annual Tent Float
PA Airheads Tent Float May 14-16 2021
 We are gonna try this again and I don't know why.  The conditions years
past were soul crushing. Numbing cold, mosquitos the size of small dogs,
migrating worms, cruel mice, floorless tents, rampaging mold and plenty of
glorious rain and misery were in full effect!

I have a tent that I am considering cutting the floor out of, and am also
working up a schematic to add a 'rain shower' shower head inside it with a
garden hose attachment on the offhand chance it doesn't rain...

arrive BEFORE the swap meet, please let me know and I will definitely show
up. Some spare parts that I could use in the future are a couple sets of
Carb Gaskets for my 94/40/109 & 110 Bing CV?s. My attempt to make them at
home was not too successful, could not find the right cork. >>

Dale- I heard from Keihan this morning. They have acknowledged my order for
the header pipes and advise that it will be "a few days" before they can
ship. I doubt that the shipment will make it from UK to US Customs and to
me by Saturday.  If they arrive by EOB on Friday. I'll call you.


I have plenty of float bowl gaskets. I'll try to remember to bring a pair.
It would help if you remind me by email on Friday.

Howdy East Coast Airheads,

I'm the quiet So PA Airhead who actually lives in San Diego, but migrates East every so often to get a heaping helping of vintage biking and vintage curmudgeon love ??

.... well its happened again ... just toooooo much perfect sunny weather out here in San Diego County, and really feeling the need to spend a boat load of time and money to get me and my gal and gear across the country so we can resurrect the old '77 R100RS and soak it with PA rain once again ....

Scheduling limitations will unfortunately preclude us from making the Tent Float this year, but we will be able to be in S. PA circa 6/5 thru 6/7 or so, and as luck would have it, the White Rose MC Club is hosting the AMA Hill-Climb even that Sunday 6/6 in Glenville PA (near the town of Jefferson).  (To make SURE there are no problems with the promulgation of this email, I'm NOT attaching the White Rose Event Calendar .pdf listing the Hillclimb, but its readily available at www.whiterosemc.org).  Shucks ... the last time I saw a hill climb at White rose was circa late 60's early 70's ... I was a kid on the back of my Dad's '66 R-something-or-other....:)   So in any case, my gal and I are flying from San Diego to BWI on 6/4 and planning to make a day of it that Sunday 6/6... meet up with whomever, go for a nice ride Sunday morning ending back in Glenville (route suggestions welcome!), and roll into White Rose around mid-day and spend the afternoon fat and happy watching the hill-climbs, eating fatty foods, and performing some hops-therapy:) Anyone want to join us?  We are open to whatever routes for the morning ride and exited to see the races, but mostly exited to re-connect with the PA and MD Airheads:)

Of course, if any folks would like to look at riding locally the day before or after as well, we are all ears; pls feel free to give me a shout via this email or via cell 760-583-8385.
