Bill Dudley NJ AM ---------- Forwarded Message ----------- From: Chris Ritzo To: Maryland Airheads Sent: Sun, 5 Jul 2020 18:57:16 -0400 Subject: 1981 R100RS for sale Hello Airheads, I'm offering my 1981 R100RS for sale. The bike is in great condition, but over the last two years life and work have kept me from riding enough to justify keeping it, and this bike deserves to be with someone who will enjoy it more regularly. I am the third owner and bought it with 45,950 miles from Chris Kennedy in January 2018. Chris kept the bike up well with regular services, oil and filter changes about every 3500 miles plus continuous gearbox, final drive, brake fluid changes etc., but I'm sad to say [UTF-8?]I???ve put just over 1000 miles on it since then. The odometer is currently at 47,006 miles. The bike has been garage kept, battery kept on a trickle when not in use, and gas winterized each year. Had it out for a brief ride this weekend to confirm it's in decent, ridable condition, though at this point it probably needs a new set of tires and a service before taking it out for regular riding. The add-ons and extras make this bike. It has a number of nice upgrades including a BMW GPSv4 with custom windshield mount, cell phone handlebar mount, and a custom fabricated luggage rack. A comprehensive list of those changes is attached. Here's a link to some photos of the bike: https://photos.app.goo.gl/GzZcfXp76f8ViuCg7 I'm flexible on price, expecting that the new owner will want to update the tires and give it a once over before any real riding. Asking $6,500 for anyone on the list or friends in the region. I live on the east side of Baltimore City, in Highlandtown. Email or call if you'd like to come take a look and we can arrange a time. Hosted by the Greater Pittsburgh MG Club, with help from the Ohio Valley BSA Club and Ton up Pittsburgh. The Countryside Tour decided to add a motorcycle part to this already spectacular countryside tour to raise money for the charities of the PVGP. Cost of the event is $40 and includes your lunch at Jamison Farms. Keeping with the same tradition as the sport cars, registration is limited to motorcycles from 1995 and earlier and limited to 35 people (this includes passengers). The tour departs from Fort Ligonier and follows a delightful collection of scenic, twisting, lightly-traveled back roads through Pennsylvania?s beautiful Laurel Highlands. Be advised, this is a RIDING tour and not for the faint of heart. We will cover 75 miles of all back roads at a brisk pace! We will have two groups leave, one that will travel at a more spirited pace (no passengers) and the second for those who want to take it a bit more relaxed (passengers welcomed). The groups will leave from Fort Ligonier on route 30 at approximately 9:30 a.m. and end up at Jamison Farm for lunch, stopping for a break and regrouping half way through the ride. Registration is now open and limited to the first 35 people, so don?t wait too long to sign-up! To keep social distancing as much as possible we have to limit the number of people at the Jamison's farm luncheon. Get your tickets here: https://www.pvgp.org/events/pvgp-motorbike-countryside-tour/ Lunch at Jamison Farm On Tour Day, traveling in two groups, to enhance both safety and the riding experience, we will work up a good thirst and an appetite, which will be slaked during our visit to Jamison Farm, on another country road near Crabtree, Pa. Owners John and Sukey Jamison raise lamb, which you will find on the menus of many fine restaurants and they are excited to be our luncheon hosts, this year. A very talented cook herself, Sukey Jamison has created a line of hand-prepared lamb dishes, which include a Lamb Stew created in collaboration with the late, great Jean-Louis Palladin and Sukey?s award-winning Lamb Pie. If you're not a Lamb eater, veggies are also being made available. Lodging The Ramada Inn of Ligonier will be our host hotel for this years event. A block of 10 rooms (2 to 4 occupancy) has been blocked for participants. Mention the PVGP Countryside Motorcycle Tour, when you call for reservations. A good night?s rest at the Inn will help avoid the hassle of having to get up in the pre-dawn hours and do the ?forced march? out to Ligonier, for the 9:30 A.M. start of the tour. Other hotel options are further down Route 30 towards the Turnpike. Call the Ramada (724-238-9545) and reserve your room for Friday night. PS. We ant to thank of the the airheads that came out yesterday for run. We raised around $200 for the PVGP and their charities. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
