items below. All parts listed are in good to very good condition and 
ready to use.

*??? 1 74 R90 bare engine block.*

*??? 1 crankshaft.? 10mm bolt holes for flywheel. **

*??? 1 74 R90s camshaft with timing gear (dual timing chain).*

*??? 2 flywheels.? One is the 10mm bolt pattern for up to 81. The other 
is the 11mm bolt pattern for /6 and early /7.? Both are for the 9 tooth 
starter. **

Belated, but thank you for inviting everyone over to see the new diggs.  Lots of potential with that new garage.  Glad you bought it.  Looking forward to seeing how that develops.  And of course a tech day or two.

I realize the house came with the garage and the house was a treat too.  With my background in home building I especially appreciated the ?bones? of the house.  Someone in the past went to a lot of trouble and expense to get it right.  You guys got a great place.

In case you missed the other announcements, here's the information:

Jan 31-Feb 2,2020 Pennsylvania Airhead SuperTech

Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles in Boyertown, PA

The Pennsylvania Airheads will again host the SuperTech event this winter
over Super Bowl Weekend. This will be a weekend extravaganza of airhead
tech sessions and expert advice and experience as well as some great
camaraderie. Training sessions will cover how systems and components work,
how to maintain and overhaul them, how to get out of trouble on the side of
the road and how to keep these great bikes safe and reliable. Sessions will
mostly focus on the ?later? airheads from /5 through the end of production.
For newcomers, the BMW Airhead cutaways and other possible goodies will be
there to peruse.

We will gather for dinner and tire kicking on that Friday night for those
arriving early and the tech sessions will begin at 9:00am on Saturday
morning. We?ll have a light lunch and finish the sessions around 5pm.
Attendees will have time to clean up and rest before the catered dinner
that evening with a very special guest speaker, William Plam of Boxer2Valve.

Sessions will begin again Sunday morning and activities will conclude by
noon. This event will be held in eastern Pennsylvania and will be open to
only 60 attendees. Registration opens December 1st.  We will have a standby
list once the max number is reached in case of last minute cancellations.
We are hatching plans to make this one the best ever so stand by and mark
your calendars. Hope to see you there.

Registration fee is $125.00 for members and $145 for non-members. If you
plan on bringing a Saturday dinner guest an additional $25 is required.

Upcoming Article in "Classic BMW Motorrader" magazine.  A quarterly
publication of the "Vintage BMW Motorcycle Owners"  Club

 

Steve Bauer is a good friend and fellow vintage BMW rider.  He recently in
the past year or so, was fortunate enough to purchased a 1955 BMW R50 with a
Steib TR500 sidecar.  This isn't just any old sidecar rig.this one happens
to have an incredible history as it has been ridden all over the world, from
Europe to UK to the Middle East, to Scotlalnd, back and forth, then shipped
to the USA at some point in the early seventies, where it just so happened
to be serviced at Stan's BMW shop, in Danboro.  The bike was well maintained
and repaired many times, but NEVER restored.this rig is all original, except
for the replacement parts of course and came complete with all the
documentation, registrations, license plates, service records, travel
diaries, etc. etc.  Pages and pages, plus many photos throughout the years.

 

Incredibly, Steve was able to track down the original owners son, the
following is one of the replies he received after telling him about his
acquisition of his father's '55 R50/Steib TR500 Spezial.

 

Hi Stephen! this is amazing! I am Fred Richards son and have very fond
memories as a youngster (early 1970s) riding in the sidecar on many trips in
both Philadelphia and in Edinburgh, Scotland. In Edinburgh, we put most of
the whole family on the motorcycle - my mother and father on the motorcycle,
and as many of us four kids as could fit in the side care as possible. ...
of course we also took our dog in the sidecar with us - an Afghan hound...
I'll see what photos I can find. So glad to connect! Father drove that rig
from Munich all the way to Kuwait... Via Persepolis [Iran] and Bagdad
[Iraq].

 

 

Now.try to imagine two grown adults with their four children and their
Afghan dog all traveling together from Munich to Kuwait !  This is an
amazing story and a must read, but to read the whole story you must get
yourself a copy of the "Classic BMW Motorrader" magazine.  I'll be honest,

being updated. Here is an alternative way to send in a membership

Google for VBMWMO and get to our current website, click on Membership on
the left, then scroll down to the PDF to print out a membership application
