This year?s CMD has been cancelled. The emergency social distancing rules now in effect means that our event cannot take place as scheduled. We are disappointed that we can?t hold CMD this year ? we expect to host CMD again in 2021. Stay tuned, we will send an update when we have more details on 2021.

not from the coronavirus. Most of you may not know that Michael has
been in the hospital for the last 3 months with other problems.

Friends;

Our dear friend Michael Friedle passed away yesterday (4 April, 2020) after
a long bout with brain issues.

I had a long conversation with his wife Carla today. She plans to hold a
25th anniversary Airheads at the Aerodrome Rally, with catered food, so for
the first time she won't be cooking!

Of course the Rally will be in memory of Michael and all that he has done
for BMW riders through the years.

Michael was the one who Chaired several BMWMOA Rallies in New England.

Michael was on the Airheads Beemer Club Board of Directors several times.

Michael serves as NY State Airmarshal for the Airheads Beemer Club.

Michael was the one who hosted the Airheads at the Aerodrome Rally in
Milan, NY for 24 years.

Michael was an MSF Rider training instructor and trailed literally
thousands of new motorcycle riders.

I met Michael when he was the first person through the doors of BMW of
Staten Island in New York, the dealership that I started in conjunction
with the BMW Automobile dealership Bel-Aire Motors. He came in, introduced
himself, we talked for over an hour and right away we knew that we were
kindred spirits. We had a lot of the same friends, grew up riding on the
roads of New England, and we were both committed to BMW motorcycles and BMW
riders.

Michael was the one who nominated me for the prestigious BMW Friend of the
Marque Award, bestowed by the BMW Clubs International organization.

Michael was a trooper in every way, always with a hearty laugh and a kind
word.

The last time I saw Michael was at the rehab facility where he was housed
after he had brain surgery. I was fortunate enough to visit at the same
time as other notables in Mike's life, Richard Clegg, and Sam Booth from
Ohio. People traveled great distances to sit at Michael's side, as his
health slipped away.

I will miss my friend terribly. His passing leaves a huge void in my life.

In Michael's honor, I will leave my motorcycles parked during this
pandemic, so that every medical person can tend to the COVID19 patients and
their needs. He and I were in agreement about that.

Cool vid below.


The producers of this beer commercial borrowed a small 150 seat movie
theater playing a popular film, and filled 148 of its seats with
rough-looking, tattooed bikers, leaving only two free seats in the middle
of the theater.

They then allowed theater management to sell tickets for the last pair of
seats to several young couples to see their reactions.

Hello Motorcycle People,
    Do to the overwhelming requests sent to us via email, Facetube and
Snapgram, the PA Airheads will do the Tent Float again this year. We
apologize for all the deplorable sunshine and blue skies we had last time.
We are looking forward to the optimal conditions of years past. Those
include but not limited to soul crushing misery, numbing cold, mosquitos
the size of small dogs, migrating worms, cruel mice, floorless tents,
rampaging mold and plenty of glorious rain!!
  We'll be celebrating under the leaking old tarp from noon on Friday until
noon on Sunday.
  The campground management has requested that all have a face masks handy.
The shower facilities may not be open, but who showers at a rally anyway?
I know many of us haven't had a haircut in awhile, so as an added bonus, we
will have a Flowbee with a vacuum attached for free haircuts. The rally
commission has never cut hair but claims to have ?some really good ideas".
Did we mention "FREE"?
