Get on your horse a week from Saturday (Nov 3) and ride to the Boyertown
Museum in Boyertown, PA for Diner Day!  Hours are 10-1.  This is where you
can enjoy a slice of pie for 25 cents and a coffee for 10 cents in the Diner
inside the museum.  Entry fee is $8 & you will see some WWII vehicles in the
foyer and a great selection of vehicles in the museum.  Where else can you
be a cheap date!!!!  I took Ellen earlier this year and I spent a whopping
60 cents.  The food is provided by several bakeries in the area.

If that was not enough, you can stop at Longacre's & choose ice cream among
30+ flavors - all made there.  You may need to crank the shocks up a 
30+ notch
when you are done.

Many thanks to all who showed up for the Yard Sale / Swap Meet. It was 
great catching up with many fellows and meeting new friends.? I enjoyed 
the conversations and trading information as much as selling parts.

Overall, it was a very successful day and hopefully everyone who did buy 
parts is happy with the prices and the pieces.? My goal was to pass 
along much of my Airhead parts collection from over the years.? At 
reasonable prices so they could be put to use keeping other bikes on the 
road.? I think it was a great start today.

Any questions or problems let me know.? Also, if there's anything you 
didn't pick up and you might want let me know and I'm sure we can work 
out more deals.

Looking forward to meeting up once again at Super Tech now that Rob has 
talked me into doing a session on wheel lacing.? Very persuasive and

I dream of shipping my trusty 1984 R100RT over there. Love central and near eastern Europe.
Appreciate any help or thoughts regarding getting a bike to Bremerhaven.

Great guy, known him for 30 years, just ran into him again at Barber's
Vintage fest this past October. I recommend him highly.

Another alternative, is to rent one of his motorbikes and you wouldn't need
the hassle of shipping your bike to and fro. Not to mention all the added
expense. If your bike breaks down, it's on you, if his bike breaks down,
it's on him !!!  Your call, but Stephan in a terrific guy in every way.

does anybody know where i can find a 'pin layout chart' description for the various wires that come out of the left side handle bar combination switch?  i'm trying to diagnosis an intermittent turn signal problem on my 1983 r80rt.  when it isn't working, i lose all turn signal lights (front, rear, and dash) along with the volt meter gauge.  although i think the turn signal issue is causing the volt meter problem because the volt meter works fine when it's disconnected from the bikes electrical system and hooked up to a battery by itself.   no other electrical problems.


i guess any information on how to test a turn signal relay would help too.

Yes it is. It is returning to Boyertown,PA. "Snowbum" is the scheduled key note speaker noted on his website.

The Pennsylvania Airheads will again host the SuperTech event this winter
over Super Bowl Weekend. This will be a weekend extravaganza of airhead
tech sessions and expert advice and experience as well as some great
camaraderie. Training sessions will cover how systems and components work,
how to maintain and overhaul them, how to get out of trouble on the side of
the road and how to keep these great bikes safe and reliable. Sessions will
mostly focus on the ?later? airheads from /5 through end of production. For
newcomers, the BMW Airhead cutaways, the Slice-cycle and other possible
goodies will be there to peruse.


We will gather for dinner and tire kicking on that Friday night for those
arriving early and the tech sessions will begin at 8:00am on Saturday
morning. We?ll have a light lunch and finish the sessions around 5pm.
Attendees will have time to clean up and rest before the catered dinner
that evening with a very special guest speaker, Bob ?Snowbum? Fleischer.


Sessions will begin again Sunday morning and activities will conclude by
noon. This event will be held in eastern Pennsylvania and will be open to
only 60 attendees. Registration details will also be posted on the
Airheads.org website on December 1st. Registration will open at that time.
We will have a standby list once the max number is reached in case of last
minute cancellations. We are hatching plans to make this one the best ever
so stand by and book your calendars. Hope to see you there.

Registration fee is $125.00 for members and $145 for non-members. If you
plan on bringing a Saturday dinner guest an additional $25 is required.

Still clearing up the garage after the swap meet.? Just tore down one of 
the engines I've got sitting around.? Stripped to a bare block.? I've no 
need for any of the pieces.? Anyone needing any engine pieces let me 
know.? These and a few other engine parts are free to be picked up or 
can ship them to you for the cost of the shipping.?? Block, crank, 
bearing carrier, cam shaft, piston rods, pushrods, etc, etc.? Only items 
not free are the cylinders. Cylinders and pistons set are R75/6 and very 
usable condition. Would like to get a few bucks for them. ? Open to 
offers. ? Have a R75/5 that will also be torn down in a few days.

For free also goes for the pieces that were on the trailer and not 
sold.? Some /5 hubs, ATE calipers (empty), a couple of sets of 
saddlebags needing repair.

Anything that no one has a need for is going to the recycler in a couple 
of weeks.? Don't like doing that but clearing up is my main goal.
