Oktoberfest

I received a text message from one of the people who attended a number 
of our past Oktoberfests at the Crystal Brook Resort, Round Top, NY.

She wanted to know if it was on so she could book a room.

I realized we've had no discussion of this, mostly since I considered it 
a moot point with Covad-19.  I have not contacted Wendy at Crystal 
Brook, but I visited the website and it appears they are doing room 
rentals with the full American Plan again (all meals included.) Looks 
like the prices went up about $10 or so which is understandable.

The reason we picked the weekend of September 18th-20th is (1) it's the 
actual start of Oktoberfest in Germany (2) we were able to get rooms and 
pretty much have the Crystal Brook to our own since the Von Stuben Day 
parade was that weekend in NYC, and all the blockheads (said most 
affectionately since I'm half block-head) are in NY for the weekend.

That may not be true this year. The Von Stuben Day Parade is going to be 
a virtual parade...   so there could be blockheads wandering around 
Crystal Brook looking for beer to drink.

So - the reason for this somewhat extended missive is - is ANYONE 
interested in Oktoberfest weekend at the Crystal Brook?  If so - I'll 
contact Wendy and see what we can negotiate. The Brauhaus appears to be 
open and observing social distancing - they setup tents outside and on 
the new patio and apparently beer is flowing.

Let me know.  Please only reply if you have interest in going. We don't 
need negatives.
