Membership dues

I received my printed newsletter the other day and read it front back. On
page two I read: We still have money in the treasury - too much money
actually. And a little bit further down:  Dues are due for 2021 - Hmmm???

I also remember that when Don was president, he always was concerned about
having too much money in the coffers and said that around 1,500-1,600 would
just be enough. I remember from a report a month or so ago we had $ 1,600
something in the bank. We have nowhere to go to spend anything, no party, no
gathering not anything, aside from a donation to the children's hospital. So
why I was asking myself - and put this question out there to every member -
why are we collecting another $ 1,200 something?? To push it up to $ 2,500 -
after we wrote the check for $ 300 to the hospital? Why can we not set out
the dues collection for the year and make do with what we have? 

Just a thought. Maybe you can discuss it during the Zoom meeting on
Wednesday.
