Don, thank you for the post.
I called him and he is holding it for me.
Have to invest approx.. 700 miles of driving which is not too bad. Have done that several times before in 1990 when I lived on the cape and worked in NJ, once every weekend, up on Friday evening and back to NJ on Sunday night.

Subject: [NJSBMWR] More on Free K75C
From the MOA website:
Free K75 to a better home.
I own a 1988 K75C with low miles (about 16k) which was until
yesterday in really great shape. I installed a new fuel pump and
injectors since the last owner had stored it for about 10 years with
half a tank of fuel and the sending unit and fuel pump were gone.
After completing the assembly and checking it for leaks, I took it
for a ride, and it caught fire while riding. I was able to
extinguish the fire but the front radiator shroud, under tank wiring
and probably more were burned. I don't have any interest in
repairing it and am hopeful that it will be of interest free to a
member. It has a clear MA title, Clymers manual, all sales and
service records, good tires, and BMW panniers in like-new shape
boxed separately. I will keep the tool kit and battery. I'm not
interested in parting it separately as I would like it gone and to a
good recipient. I will post pictures later today or tomorrow. Feel
free to call me at 508-246-4064. Ben Zehnder - Orleans, MA

/I know nothing about this except what you read above. It was
offered today on the MOA forums, it might already be gone.. but
since I know a few people in our club (hi Kenton! Hi Mike!) have a
thing for K75's - thought I'd post it here. You're on your own with
it..//
