[NJSBMWR] Club meeting via zoom?

Gary

Actually I believe it is encrypted now (it claimed to be when I used it
yesterday) - but not a real worry since I don't think we ever discuss
anything that anyone else would find interesting, indeed some people at
our real f2f meetings don't find much of what we discuss interesting..

The problem teachers were having was the default for the meetings used
to be there was a way to scroll through a directory of all the meetings
taking place, and if the meeting wasn't setup to require approval to
join or a password - anyone could join the meeting. There also was no
means to throw someone out (or someone's video feed.) The evil-doers
would search for open teaching groups and the miscreants then were
coming in with pornographic images, which obviously changed what the
kiddies were learning about.

I'm not sure that would be a problem with our meeting.... it might wake
people up,  but - now there is no directory of meetings - you have to
know the meeting ID to join it.

Don (who learned all this in the past 2 days..)
