A group meeting yesterday turned up the following functions need to
happen for the "Ride" "Event" to be a success, and we're looking for help:
*Setup* - ALL of us.
*Registration and Door Prize tickets.* Registration involved either
accepting a cash donation from a person, or if they've already donated
to ZeroCancer or PCF - checking that on the respective websites. Once
we know how much they donated - we can pass that information on to the
people handling the ticket portion of this function.
*Registration* - In charge, for now - Me. Mostly because both accounts
are in my name, and I'm familiar with how to look up people who donated
on line. It would probably be a good thing to have a backup for
Registration since sometimes I have some rather urgent bathroom needs
and may need to step away from the table for a bit. Anyone? Preferably
someone who isn't afraid of computers. Mike Naghski?
*Door Prize Tickets* - in charge? Dunno, I've asked Roger T if he'll be
available, and Tom Suhocki has volunteered to help. We probably want a
few more people. The job will require giving out tickets based on the
amount the person donated to either foundation, or if they did a cash
donation at the site. It then will require for people who competed part
or all of the scavenger hunt ride - looking at their documentation - and
giving out tickets for that too. Please let me know if you can help.
*Traffic Control/Security* - Joe K will be leading this up. The goal is
most efficient use of the parking lot, and keeping an eye on things like
the door prizes so none of them walk away. We probably need one other
person to help Joe out. Please let me know if you can help.
*Food* - Mike K will be in charge. Job is preparation, dispense,
cleanup. Cross Country is supply a large grille, hot-dogs/rolls and I
hope condiments, I know Mike will need some help, and we need to watch
that people who haven't registered aren't glomming down the food. If
you can help - please let me know.
*Door Prizes* - Headed up by Jim T and Dan T. Job involves identifying
and displaying the door prizes, and pulling tickets to award them, then
making sure the prizes go to the correct person. I'm sure when we get to
ticket pulling time - we'll need some help getting the numbers called
out. If you can help, let me know.
*Final Cleanup* - ALL of us.
Thanks all. If you are coming to the event, please let us know!
