This is definitely a scam. Sounds very similar to something I just experienced last week. I was shopping for a pick up truck for my son-in-law and found a 2003 Tundra in apparently good condition for less than $2000. I contacted the seller who told me to contact his mother because he was in the Air Force and currently stationed at Minot AFB in South Dakota. I sent email to the mother. I got a reply telling me that the truck was stored in an Ebay warehouse in S. Dakota and ready to ship. He further told me shipping was free and that I would have 6 days to try out the truck before final payment was due.

Contact mom because the soldier is stationed in another state? That could be a real scenario.
Truck in another state even though I was told to contact mom in NJ?
Ebay warehouse for a Craigslist Ad?
Free shipping????
Price too good to be true?
