[NJSBMWR] Rally for the Cure

Hi Manny,

Glad to hear the caution you're taking on PCa.

The site was correct - but that doesn't take into account BMW riders
going to any event that has "free food" - they always arrive early so
they don't miss out on the "free food".  I sort of mentally accounted
for it - and the food wasn't ready until noon, but there were people
registering and eyeballing the door prizes well before 12PM.

Cross Country was not "open" for this event.  Dan and Lois were in the
showroom, but they wouldn't sell anything.  Dan felt that would take
away from the event, and I agree. They already do hold numerous bike
intro events every year - they're very popular - but that wasn't why WE
were there.   The families of Harold Gantz (Sara his wife, his sister
and her husband, and his son/wife/grandchildren) expressed appreciation
for the event - either privately or publicly.  I will be asking the club
to show appreciation to Dan, Lois and Jon (their publicity guy who was
extremely helpful.)

Donations, large and small came in all day.  I'll be adding up the
numbers, but we may have met our goal of $10,000 to be split between the
two organizations.

Sorry you were late..

Don
