 He says that date works but that he’ll need more time than an hour. He couldn’t estimate time because a lot depends on the interests of the people who are there. He thinks a couple hours might be more likely to satisfy.

 Jim, can you check if Sept 30th would work? That's a Sunday. Perhaps 
11AM or so and we can do lunch somewhere in the area afterwards?
