My new luggage.....

For those who don't do the Facetube Airhead Beemer page, I added some 
new panniers to my RS over the weekend.  They are from Acmemoto2 in NC.  
Made in the US by Scott and Suzanne Olofson.  I saw them at the RA last 
year and have been badly desiring them ever since, especially after 
packing my old OE BMW bags for the two week trip.  The mounting plate 
Acmemoto2 includes does not destroy the old mount so the OE bags can be 
reinstalled.  Scott had the bags on his R75 but said he had to make 
custom standoffs to clear the shocks.  He also reported that he 
relocated the rear turn signals to the reflector mounts on the sides of 
the license plate since they wouldn't clear either.  I found that simply 
shortening the stalks they are mounted on with my Dremel, I could fit 
them in a relatively stock fashion.  The bags come with one custom oiled 
canvas tool bag.  It mounts in the lid.  They make removable luggage as 
well.

Hope you're all well and getting some riding in during this great 
weather.  I am STILL waiting for my tank.  Ande has been diligently 
working on getting down to bare metal but it's been a process.  It 
almost looks like the original coating from BMW was simply covered over 
at some point with another coating.  :(
