<div style="color:black;font: 10pt Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Amen Eric. Far too many think the /2 cannot be ridden like a modern bike. All it takes is for the bike to be well taken care of and gone over well before any trip.....just like any bike.<br>
<br>
Now you know why I like my 1965 R60 conversion even more as it has the power (R90S engine) and the brakes (Ducati 851) to run long hard and fast. I love the Earles fork with it's natural anti-dive. Going into corners hard on the brakes the bike maintains it's great solid posture vs telescopic forks that dive & shift far too much weight forward <br>
<br>
Hope to see you in 2022.....or maybe you will be at Barber next week? I might make it for Fri & Sat.<br>
<br>
My best......... Mike<br>

<div>Many thanks Will for a very tasty rally indeed!</div>
<div>It all came together perfectly. Great times were had by all!</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I am happy to report the 66 R69s, on her longest trip to date,
performed absolutely perfectly over the 600 or so miles of the trip. The
only glitch being a ground down side stand tang due to user error. On the
way down, I failed to increase the preload at the rear when loaded and then
thought tight twistys at speed were the order of the day. :-)</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Once adjusted and on the way home the bike performed like a modern bike
with more then enough clearance to scare the heck out of my self. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>I continue to be amazed at how good this bike is at its intended
duty. Only thing I would change is to add a larger sport tank as the
stock 4.3 gal tank gives me 100-120mi before reserve when pushed hard at
speed...</div>
<div> </div>
<div>See you all on the road!</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Vielen Dank,</div>
