Subject: volunteer needed for NY AirMarshal position

NY Airheads,

Due to the untimely passing of Michael Friedle, the position of NY
Airmarshal
is vacant. Please consider volunteering for this position.

The job isn't particularly time-consuming. To some extent, the job is
what you make of it. You don't have to run a rally as Michael did
(Airheads at the Aerodrome). Mostly, you need to be a cheer leader
for Airhead activities in NY State. Jobs typically include:

Try to find hosts for a couple of tech days every year (well, not
this
year, ugh). In a state as big as NY, an "upstate" and "downstate"
tech day is probably in order. You will also be adding your events
 to the calendar at airheads.org.

Email members who have not renewed their membership and gently ask if
 they'd like to renew.

Pitch non-members who you meet (who have Airhead motorcycles) on the
 benefits of joining the ABC.

Participate in the biannual elections for Airheads Board of Directors
 (by voting for Board members).

If you have any questions about the Airmarshal job, feel free to
email
me, or John Covington, the Airmarshal Coordinator (jwcov at yahoo.com).

 Bill Dudley
 NJ Airmarshal
