Q: When is a helmet not a helmet?

A: When it allows you to talk to your bike.

More specifically, when it allows the bike to read your thoughts in order to know what you <really> want.
And then it translates those thoughts into inputs to the motorcycle.

Honda has filed a patent application for a helmet to include a Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) whose aim would be to non-invasively capture brainwave signals from a rider and use these in controlling the motorcycle in specific situations.

These signals would be used to help determine information that might be indicative (prediction analysis) of the rider's intent to perform certain tasks on the motorcycle.
ie brake, swerve etc.

Of course, once established and effective, nothing limits this functionality to the use of motorcycle riding only.

In this future setting, a husband could know what his wife <really> wants !
And a wife could know what her non-talkative husband is <really> thinking. LOL!

This would add a new and enhanced level of capability to the fictional Jetsons living peacefully in the Wonderful World of Tomorrow (tm) in their safe town of Jetsonsville. <G>
