Bill Dudley -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Last Rally Update Date: Mon, 3 Jun 2019 13:44:01 +0000 From: Sample, Greg It just dawned on me that also occurring in Middle Tennessee next week is the annual Bonnaroo Music Festival that runs June 13-16. It's held on a farm in Manchester, TN, about an hour southeast of Nashville on I-24. There will be around 70,000 folks at this event. Please let your members know to be aware that if you're traveling on Interstate 24, 40 or 65 heading into/leaving Nashville, you're likely going to see a lot of extra traffic on the roads here in TN. The long range weather forecast calls for highs in the mid-80s, lows in the mid-60s and 20% - 40% chance of thunderstorms - pretty typical weather for us here. Oh yeah, just so you know, by 5:15 in the morning there's enough daylight to see just fine, and sunset is around 8:00. See everyone soon, and ride safe! Many club members bring sidecar rigs, convertible cars, trikes, etc and give the kids a ride around the parking lot (with their care person). All wear helmets supplied by the? Skylands Riders. Even if you don't have a ride vehicle, the kids enjoy us waving, blowing horns, and talking to them.? Afterword, the club usually goes to Chester to eat... but this is not a necessity. So if your not headed south to Lebanon TN, go to this very rewarding event. Going down rt33 towards Freehold my TPM showed a waning of 25PSI, another mile 20 PSI. I stopped at a Wawa and used the pump, it would not take any air and was continuing losing air. At 15 psi I was done and called in the reserves. I am hoping for a valve issue as I could not fine any visible puncture in the tire. The tire has about 4,300 miles on it. Hope to catch next months meeting. Regards. Rick Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: William F. The tables there are tiny, so sitting around talking as a group is about impossible. I'm good for the Allenwood General Store since I haven't been there because I was out of town. Tables in the back are always good - can fit a group. Any other suggestions? Allenwood General Store it is. For noobs - this is the world famous center of the Jersey delicacy "pork-roll" - if it can be made with pork-roll the Allenwood General Store can do it. http://www.allenwoodgeneralstore.com/ - there is a google map on the website. 9:45AM. Saturday. June 15th. Be there or be square. We meetup in the back room, order as you enter, then proceed down the counter to a step. Step down and start looking for us. We're typically at the tables toward the ice-cream counter. Don (breakfastmeister).. Bill Dudley co-president -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Freehold July 4th Motorcycle Participation Date: Wed, 19 Jun 2019 21:17:59 -0400 From: James Wishbow To: president at njsbmwr.org Roger, I?m a long time rider and have been a member of Gold Wing groups, Harley Groups, Honda Riders Club of America and now currently a member of Blue Nights NJXV. ?I also currently ride a RT1200. Every year we attend an event in Freehold Boro for July 4th and we always welcome new faces. ?I hope you and some of your members might be able to attend. All of the information is below and please call me if you have any questions, 908-770-9148 Thanks, James Wishbow Greetings, For the past several years Freehold Borough has held a reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th.? The ceremony starts at 9:00 am in front of Borough Hall on Main St. and it lasts about an hour.? This is a great way for us to honor our Founding Fathers and to reflect on what a great country we live in.? There is also the opportunity for anyone who wants to sign up to read a line.? This is a short, early in the day ceremony, and a great way to start your July 4th.? The following text is just a short accounting of what these men put on the line for our freedom today, please try to attend if you can! *_Lives, Fortunes, Honor _*Of those 56 who signed the Declaration of Independence, nine died of wounds or hardships during the war. Five were captured and imprisoned, in each case with brutal treatment. Several lost wives, sons or entire families. One lost his 13 children. Two wives were brutally treated. All were at one time or another the victims of manhunts and driven from their homes. Twelve signers had their homes completely burned. Seventeen lost everything they owned. Yet not one defected or went back on his pledged word. Their honor, and the nation they sacrificed so much to create, is still intact. And, finally, there is the New Jersey signer, Abraham Clark. He gave two sons to the officer corps in the Revolutionary Army. They were captured and sent to the infamous British prison hulk afloat in New York harbor known as the hell ship "Jersey," where 11,000 American captives were to die. The younger Clarks were treated with a special brutality because of their father. One was put in solitary and given no food. With the end almost in sight, with the war almost won, no one could have blamed Abraham Clark for acceding to the British request when they offered him his sons' lives if he would recant and come out for the King and parliament. The utter despair in this man's heart, the anguish in his very soul, must reach out to each one of us down through 200 years with his answer: "No." For the past several years a group of us motorcyclists have attended and this year the organizers of this event and the Borough officials are*_very eager_* to have us motorcyclists back.? I'd like to increase our numbers this year and I hope many of you will be able to attend. _STAGING_: Freehold Borough High School Rt. 79 [Broadway] _DETAILS_: The Freehold Borough Police Department will be providing our group an escort through town and to Borough Hall. ?-Meet us at the High School.? Please park in the front lot on the North side of the school. Please be to the high school no later than 8:15. KSU will be at 8;30 and the police will escort us in. If you need any information please contact me at jpwishbow at gmail.com __or 908-770-9148. The annual RA rally. Smaller, more intimate and less expensive than the MOA rally.? That pretty much sums of the RA national rally. Woodstock is a small town of 5,000 along VA-11 (which parallels I-81) about 20 miles south of Stephen's City.? I've made a reservation for the 5th-8th at: *Econo Lodge, *1290 S Main St, Woodstock, VA, US, 22664 +1 (540) 205-6768 Looks like your basic drive-up motel. Price was around $75/night. Has a restaurant on site. http://www.caramelizedrestaurant.com/ Google street view shows the motel as a well kept looking place. Has a pool and laundry too.? It's right between VA-11 and Main St in Woodstock, so be had to get much closer. It's very close to Skyline Drive and the northern part of the BRP, so good riding abounds. There are some great roads just to the west of I-81 in that area. Google maps makes it 4 hrs 40 minutes the way Roger will go. The way I'll go (backroads) will take 20 minutes longer than to Stephen's City VA - where we usually arrive around 4PM or so. -- Don Eilenberger deilenberger at gmail.com From dud at casano.com Mon Jun 24 00:00:02 2019 From: dud at casano.com (dud at casano.com) Date: Mon, 24 Jun 2019 00:00:02 -0400 Subject: [NJSBMWR] Event Reminder club breakfast Message-ID: <201906240400.x5O403VJ025894@dudley.casano.com> This is an automatic reminder of an upcoming NJSBMWR event. club breakfast time: approximately 9:45AM EDT location: TBD date: June 29 2019 message sent: Mon Jun 24 00:00:02 EDT 2019 From rds335i at gmail.com Mon Jun 24 18:03:43 2019 From: rds335i at gmail.com (rds335i) Date: Mon, 24 Jun 2019 18:03:43 -0400 Subject: [NJSBMWR] Fwd: [skylandsbmwriders] Upcoming Event: CLUB RIDE- Motorcycles to Matheny - Thu, 06/27/2019 6:00pm-8:00pm #cal-reminder References: <20580.1561413603387506994@groups.io> Message-ID: <5E105B4E-66CA-4E92-A936-A08E13896008@gmail.com> FYI Regards, RD Swanson Begin forwarded message: > From: "skylandsbmwriders at groups.io Calendar" > Date: June 24, 2019 at 6:00:03 PM EDT > To: skylandsbmwriders at groups.io > Subject: [skylandsbmwriders] Upcoming Event: CLUB RIDE- Motorcycles to Matheny - Thu, 06/27/2019 6:00pm-8:00pm #cal-reminder > Reply-To: skylandsbmwriders at groups.io > > Reminder: CLUB RIDE- Motorcycles to Matheny > > When: Thursday, 27 June 2019, 6:00pm to 8:00pm, (GMT-04:00) America/New York > > Where:Form up at Peapack/Gladstone Firehouse (cor.
