Hello all. I've been an Airhead club member for a very long time going back to the mid 80's, mostly in stealth mode it seems. Since I'm usually working I haven't really had much opportunity to attend any of the club functions that get set up. However, the one thing I am doing this year is riding my 1978 R100S which I've owned since 1981 in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride on Sunday Sept. 29th. with over 135 NJ riders signed up.

I don't know if you are familiar with it or not, I wasn't until last year, but I thought I would pass information along to you in case anyone wanted to get involved. If no one is interested in registering for the event but would like to make a donation for this great cause instead I would be vey happy to accept it on behalf of men's health and prostate cancer. See my intro letter below.

Thanks for your time!

Glenn DeFrancesco

Hello,
This year I am taking part in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride to raise funds and awareness for men's health and prostate cancer on behalf of the Movember Foundation. Beginning in Australia in 2012, this is a global event that takes place the last weekend in September. It has grown to over 57000 motorcyclists riding mostly classic and vintage style bikes in countries around the world, as well the USA. This is my first year participating. It just seems like a good cause to be involved in having friends who are going, and have gone, through this. To date this year over 2.4 million dollars has been raised internationally. In NJ alone there are over 135 riders so far taking part in this Sept. 29th event.

Prostate cancer affects more men than any other cancer, taking the lives of 307,000 men each year. That number is surpassed by 500,000 men dying from suicide. That's 807,000 men every year. This is a number that must change.

You can learn more from the gentleman's ride website. Please reach out and give what you can, help support me on my ride by going to https://www.gentlemansride.com/fundraiser/GlennDeFrancesco237238 and making a donation. If you do decide to help support me and this cause, my heart felt thanks!

Thank you again,
Glenn
