Sean
What ignition are you going to use?  I am looking at an electronic system on my conversion (1974 R90/6).  I have to get off my ass and get moving on stuff around here so I can do some riding this summer sometime.

 Hi there everyone.
I am a new Airhead member, but not new to Airheads.
To help with the current conditions I will share.
My BMW Airheads:
1965 BMW R50/21969 BMW R50US chassis waiting for an R80 implant1986 BMW R80G/S
My other air cooled bikes:
2007 Ducati GT10002015 Indian Chief2017 BMW R Nine T Scrambler
The Indian and Scrambler are road ready.
The Ducati needs an oil change, belts, and a valve adjustment.
Fork seals, steering head bearings and pushrod tube seals on the R80 G/S. After that is the sky is the limit.
I have been hoarding parts not toilet paper, so hopefully this will go smoothly.
Stay safe and healthy!
Steve

I am working on a conversion, 1964 Earles fork frame with an R90/6 engine.  I was having problems with the driveshaft length but have that worked out.  It will have dual disks up from so stopping should not be an issue.   Of course, I have been working on this project for years.
Both 1955 and 1956 R69's are done.  The 1955 is the first year of the so called  /2 Earles fork bikes.  Technically, the engine changes in 1961 was the start of the /2.  Prior to that, from 1955-1960 the R50's and R60's were just that.

All other projects are done except a Hollandia sidecar.  Not sure what bike it is going on but I have to get that together.  They don't make parts for that so I will have to work on a windshield and seat cushion as well as hookups to the motorcycle.
I will be working on a 1974 R90/6 in the near future.  That is at a friend's place in storage.    Been there for a few years but shouldn't take much to get it on the road.
What is everybody working on to get ready to go to John's next year?  I also got an email from Suzy Greenway.  She indicated that she is planning on having her get-together in Stockbridge at the beginning of May.  Maybe we can keep our 6-foot distancing while talking motorcycles.

Woody's wheel Works straightened and returned the front wheel off my 1979 R100RT.  Brooks Upholstery reappolsrerd and returned the Meijer Daylong . Stoner's supplied a spare set wheels from a rusted out gs to be part of an upgraded sidecar project.  I make maple syrup.  This year I have been teaching two different families. One, a small backyard setup with a pair of restaurant steam pans on  a wood stove operation. The other is a new owner of an established commercial business.  I didn't run my own operation this season hopping to get syrup from my students. Next year I'm gonna do my own.  It's like MSF,  teaching what you love during the season you could be riding in. Mixed pleasures.
