Sometimes logic must prevail. So my 1981 R100RT is for sale. Green smoke with 69,536 miles. $5500. Too much has been done to this bike to list here, but I would be glad to discuss the details. Engine, clutch, tranny, rear drive, brakes, suspension, electrics, rubber bits, cables, and more have been addressed. I am computer illiterate, but I think I can send pictures. I am in Kingfield - phone # 265-2706. The "Green Flash" is stored in my dining room. If you would like to see it, give me a call. I've included the mailing list for Maine in the CC so hopefully someone will chime in.? And yes, you got the acronyms correct!? If you find your route veering further toward Augusta, let me know but don't delay in reaching your destination.? You're looking at some heavy HEAVY rain coming in tomorrow and Saturday. Stopped off for some dinner en route to Rumford where we'll stay for the night. Sadly, we passed Augusta on the way up. I didn't think to reach out by email today. We left Boston Saturday morning and were up in Lubec/Eastport Monday through Wednesday. By coincidence we stayed in a B&B right next to a fellow airhead who is working on an 84 r100. He noticed my R80 and we had a chance for a bit of bt. After standing on the easternmost point of the US I had planned to head to the westernmost point via the northern route, but I hear the snow is already falling in Montana so I think I left too late. Rerouting to the southernmost point in key west, and then planning to head west via the southern route. Thanks for advice re: rain. May have to hunker down til it passes.
