Good Coronavirus morning fellow Maine Airheads.

I managed a ride a week or so ago when it was in the low 60's. The 77RS 
fired up after some enrichening and cranking but idled well and ran like 
it was yesterday.

If nothing else here in the north east, nothing's been canceled yet 
because it's still too cold to do anything.? The first event that I know 
of is the RSM Frozen Buns campout April 24-26 at Barnes Field CG in 
Gorham NH.? I would say that we should stay tuned for more information 
as that event gets closer.? Likewise for the Frosty Nutz campout at 
Wilgus SP in Ascutney VT the following weekend.? The best I have is stay 
tuned.

What this pandemic needs is some nice warmer weather so we can all 
practice some two-wheeled social distancing.

Northeast Airheads Regional Events

Hello Northeast Airheads - It?s that time of year all we NorthEasterners 
have been waiting for, but wait, something is trying to interfere with 
our plans.

It is times like these that I most cherish the Camaraderie of the 
Airheads, we may be forced?to stand 6 feed apart, but in some cases that 
could be good.

but my Pony was having none, so we road on...

When last I contacted you all, I was promoting the upcoming spring 
events, and as the eternal optimist, I am going to provide that same 
list once again and say keep your plans intact and find the silver 
lining in the latest events.

My key takeaway from the current circumstances is that it is making me 
appreciate what I have and recognize what I had begun to take for 
granted, like the freedom to stop at the grocery store on my way home 
from work and actually find anything I wanted on the shelves. ?This past 
week since my return from AZ, has reminded me of trying to shop for food 
in Cuba when I visited there a few years ago. ?They live like that all 
the time, we will all get through this, and come out the other end 
better for it.

Now - Back to Airheads business - repeat of the list of events from my

25th Annual "Airheads at the Aerodrome" Campout

This is the one of the East Coast events you cannot miss. ?This year 
will mark the 25th Anniversary of this signature Airheads event. ?Hosted

event sells out fast, and with the special anniversary it is likely to 
go even faster. ?I also have it on good authority that there will be a 
special edition 25th anniversary T-Shirt available to registered 
participants that you will not be able to obtain any place else. 
 ?Normally Mike does not even advertise this event, but I had to help 
get the word out. ?So, see the WhAIR When Calendar for the details.

In order to stay off the obvious and perpetual subject that seems to be 
in every other email and news story, I am going to resort to sharing 
some snippets from my month of working remote and the Chaos Ranch 
Rendezvous gathering I just hosted in AZ

My trip this year was not the 3k ride through Mexico that I did last 
year, but I did manage to get some Airhead adventuring in between 
maintenance projects and before the max attendance of 20 arrived at 
Chaos for the 3rd annual Chaos Ranch gathering.

Highlights for this year -
* Early arrival Jim managed to go down on the GS Challenge driveway 
section and snap off his windshield. ?Not to worry, I got the backhoe 
out the next morning and smoothed everything out.



* We reached the max attendance of 20 this year even though Mark my ever 
present riding buddy did not make the trip. ?We had 3 AMs in attendance.



* The back road to Mt Lemmon was open thanks to the unofficial opening 
by some adventurers a few days ahead of us with a very large bolt 
cutter. ?None the less, we took full advantage and made the 5000 foot 
climb in 1 hour and 10 min. - I will try to share videos on a future post

Gathering at the top before the ride to the snow line near the summit.



* The Gentle Giant got and upgrade and almost all attendees took 
advantage and had a spin -



So, don't let life get in the way, get out there and ride like the wind 
and be free again.



I hope you are all making plans to attend the Black Bear Americana Music 
fest this fall, it is shopping up to be the Airhead event of the season.

Good Panic Morning to you too!

Great to hear you got a ride in on your 77RS. I've been itching but my 
long muddy driveway has keep my 81RT on the battery tender. The only 
ride I'll get soon is if I trailer a bike out to the street or get a 
sidecar or trike. I was really hoping to do a ride on the Spring Equinox 
but I don't want my first 2020 ride to be in the rain :)

Get out those fairings, windshields and electric clothing and social distance.  Traffic is definitely reduced in the Portland area with restaurants and many businesses closed.
I'm afraid Frozen Bunz, Frosty Nuts and even the Downeast Rally with it's large number of Canadian attendees may be in jeopardy.
At last we have a good excuse to keep our helmets on when walking into a store.  Get  Riding.  Ed

* We reached the max attendance of 20 this year even though Mark my ever
present riding buddy did not make the trip.  We had 3 AMs in attendance.



* The back road to Mt Lemmon was open thanks to the unofficial opening
by some adventurers a few days ahead of us with a very large bolt
cutter.  None the less, we took full advantage and made the 5000 foot
climb in 1 hour and 10 min. - I will try to share videos on a future post

* The Gentle Giant got and upgrade and almost all attendees took
advantage and had a spin -
