Will continues the tradition of 5 star restaurant meals at LDoS. Just amazing. My culinary skills are just down right embarrassing in comparison.

Thanks to Mike Adams who carried the torch lighting up the generator for coffee. That is one thankless job. Waking up the camp so early. Lots of smiles though at the first sip of coffee.

To any who did not hear the woes of my GS sputtering up the hills on one cylinder it was not the bad spark plug lead Chris Kennedy at first diagnosed. That for sure was the cause of my hard to start issue. A big thanks to Mark Foster for putting me in touch with Rob Price and Rob Price in particular for ripping the wires off his bike so I could verify 22.4 ohms across the coils lead to lead. In fact the cause of the sputtering was a maladjusted float tang. Previously the bike had run fine around town but under WTF acceleration on that first hill one cylinder starved for fuel creating what felt like an ignition issue. All is good now. A test run up the same hill at 80mph revealed no hiccups. Just goes to show “if you think it is ignition it is probably carburetor related and vise versa”.

Great to see everyone and catch up after so long.

Next time, Jim McKinna
