Will and MD Airheads,

Due to airheads.org webteam retiring, and a new webteam taking over
(and the obligatory re-write of the entire website), coupled with
database problems, the dAIRectory was produced by the new webmaster,
Tim Hille (also the MA Airmarshal).  Tim did a great job considering
he had to fix many database problems.  (I didn't make the dAIRectory
because I couldn't get a clean dump of the database).  Tim acknowledges
that he messed up the Airmarshal list.  There was no "call" to be
included.  The messed up AM list has no greater meaning.

I did some research.  This is the TT-101 http://toastertan.com/top_brace/
It does not fit the R65 nor the single swing arm later airheads, nor any
GS.  The 65 and late airheads had 38.5 mm forks.

I recently purchased a 1993 R100RT and am really starting to enjoy it.One thing that gives me fits is the VDO clock on the dashboard.Whereas looking at the Voltmeter assures me that the Charging System is working well,The clock is too much of a reality check, for an activity that supposed to be a de-stresser.
SO, if I were to pull the clock and replace it with another device, what should it be:
a) Oil Pressure Gauge ?b) Oil temperatrure gauge ?c) a mini TV screen that shows a continual loop of Tom Cutter's last SuperTech presentation ?

 I wouldn't muck with the clock as its sort of nice to be able to tell what time it is. Or just ignore it. My concern would be how to run something like oil pressure / temp up to that now open space and have it look good.I have for oil temp the gizmo that screws in where the oil dip stick goes.my .02 USD.

 Hardware stores sell this thermo which works great.I have it mounted to my gps support arm and it along with the support move from bike to bike.this one lists for $16 but typically they can be found for as little as 4 dollars.

I just replaced the failed clock on my `88 RS (with a used clock costing 
$50 on Ebay and it works fine).? (Both are BMW Quartz Motometer with 
green face.)

I would like to get the original clock repaired as a spare (for the next 
time).

Palo Alto Speedo gave me an estimate of $300 plus shipping!

Does anyone know a repair shop that charges less?

I would leave the clock.? Other items can be too distracting at times.? 
One thing I do quite often is set my clock to 12:00 when I start and 
then use the clock as a timer to show me how long I've ridden.? No 
distraction there!

I have a new project... A 1980 Johnson 15hp 2 stroke outboard I am going to
tune up and use on a small crabbing boat. Am entirely unfamiliar with 2
stroke motors so, it should be an interesting learning experience.

 2 stroke 15 hp.wow i didn't know something of that magnitude existed.
i had a 2 cylinder johnson 4 horse sailmaster.sailmaster was so it could clear the transome on my 16.5' o'day daysailer.great m,otor n boat.good luck with the motor.\test it in a garbage can in the basement with water in the can.next winter
