     An idea, a contest, a call out to the artistic talent in the group and beyond.  Wives, girlfriends, manfriends, mistress?s and so forth.   A quick piece of chronology with respect to our ?Sliced Cycle? project.  In the Autumn season of 2016 we got busy building our R75/6 cut-away model.  It needed to be ready for SuperTech 2017.  We got it there, it wasn?t whole, still isn?t.  In the time since it?s debut, it has grown to be an element of intrigue and purpose at SuperTech as well as other BMW motorcycle venues on the schedule.  In a small way, it seems to be taking on a life of it?s own.  For this reason, a logo perhaps, a graphic identity might be called for.  Jim McKinna, Dale Simpson and I have been the primary builders of the model.  Each of us are a mechanic by trade, not artist?s.  The ABC enjoys having a unique logo that we all recognize.  Simple By Choice.   Perhaps something equal in sort could be created for our ?Sliced Cycle? project without end.  Hmm?  On his Air Store vendor table, Dave Cushing could end up with an added volume of product offering.  A credit to the Artist. 

  Would anybody have an interest in being our creative spirit ?  Submit your impassioned design.  A group vote could be taken.  And the winner is ! 

   An idea.  These can be fun things to kick around.

Morning Bill,Your birthday bash here at the museum is just a couple of weeks away (Sunday, 16th at noon). ?Just a few questions:
1). What is the current number of guests?
2). We plan to have sloppy joes, chips, coleslaw, and?pickles. ?Do you think that will be enough??
3). What type of drinks do you want us to have on hand? ?Not sure what your family likes. ?We will certainly have bottled water on hand to go with whatever else you?d like. ?
4). We are not planning on baking a birthday cake, but will have cookies and coffee?on hand for dessert. ?Is that okay??
Anything else I need to know or that you?d like us to do? ?

Gee!  The name ?Bill?s Birthday Bash? evokes thoughts of an annual event to be added to the Airhead calendar (not to be inflicted on the Hopkins?s each year) 

To make use of the leftover cookies from prior Hopkins Museum events, the timing of this event couldn?t be better!

To honor Bill?s interest in the SlicedCycle I propose that instead of presents we have a small welder on hand and folks bring old airhead parts and as a group we see what piece of art we can create.

Greetings fellow Airheads,
Need some help:
My 27 runs very well. BUT, it does not quickly settle down to idle. Spins up pretty fast and slowly sags down to idle.
I may have a carb issue (I took apart and carefully cleaned, blew air through everything, and insured the slide moves freely.). Yet the air screw is all the way IN to get the motor to idle. I know this is not correct.
Havent solved the problem.
I have removed the advance unit. Weights move freely and close quickly. Yet, I wonder if the tiny springs are weak, thus not bringing the weights all the way in thus keeping some amount of advance.
Here's the questions:
Ideas regarding the carb issue? suggestions?
Is there a trick to getting those tiny springs off, and then replacing with new OEM springs?

Am located in Hanover,PA.?
Any help is much appreciated.

Walt-

You may have multiple issues, but it does sound like the carb has a 
problem. Did you open up what Bing refers to a an accelerator pump? 
After going through a few late R27 carbs, I have not seen one that the 
pump is not beat.

I use dental picks or equivalents in a large zip lock bag for deli cut 
spring work.
