Looking to get back to where I was happiest with a classic Airhead.
My ideal bike is an LWB R75/5 in black with a large tank but the right deal
on a Toaster or other good bike close to my ideal machine would definitely
be considered. Doesn't have to be a garage queen or total restoration
(which I can't afford). I can handle some cleanup and minor work but not a
major project. Fly and ride isn't appealing during Covid Days so a location
that allows me to drive to you with a trailer and return to Philadelphia,
PA in one day is probably best. I have a super well equipped 2013 F700GS
that could be part of the discussion if it is of interest. Let me know how
close you can come to my dream machine. Pictures, price, and maintenance
history would. be a big help. If you know of one off-list somewhere or any

Subject: Super Well Equipped F700GS for Sale

This is a terrific bike with high-end upgrades that make it a truly
outstanding dual-sport machine. Only selling it because I am 77 years old
and bought a 1975 R90/6 that reminds me of my younger days.

The GS is in excellent shape and runs perfectly. I drove it 300 miles in
seven hours when I went to buy my R90.

9,872 miles on the odometer. Rear tire has less than 1,500 miles on it.
Front tire is very good. Some scratches on the BarkBusters and a few small
chips in the paint on one side panel. Mostly the bike is pristine. The
attached list of upgrades tells the tale of a bike that was cared for and
designed for riding.

The lowered progressive springs make it easy for me at [UTF-8?]5???9??? to plant both
feet. (Original springs included.) The Camel Tank adds 7 liters of
traveling fuel and the Touratech Aluminum Panniers hold more than you need.
Corbin seat is comfy all day long. Lots of skid plates and protectors for
off-road adventuring.

Bike has always been garaged and is available for inspection in

R100GS from 89-95. Maybe others as well. The bags are in perfect condition.

Also a pair of mufflers of my 1971 R75-5. Used but in fair condition. Some
rattling from the left hand baffles. No holes or rust. Some scratches and
rock chips. $100.00.

 

Just wanted to send it locally before going National. Just one picture of
each attached. Many more available.

 

Hope everyone is staying healthy. Life in Crownsville is quiet but everyone

Hello everyone,

Long time lurker here. My friend has a 1984 R65LS in his hands and is
looking to sell it. He is the original owner and has a clean title. It has
been sitting out for a couple of years and hasn't been turned on in a bit,
but everything is original. I told him to stay off craigslist since it's a
very rare bike - only 6.4k made - and figured that this would be a good
place to start. I will be going down to take some pictures later in the
week, but first wanted to put it out there in case anyone here is
interested / knows someone who would be. I will also be reaching out to the
PA airhead community and some facebook groups.

Fellow Airheads,

This has not been an easy decision to make, but we have decided to cancel
the Last Days of Summer Rally this year.  This year would have been our 8th
year hosting the event and it has been one of my favorite weekends of the
year since our first gathering.

Inthe end, we simply did not want to be responsible for hosting an event
that in good years has brought as many as 70 riders stretching up and down
the East Coast from North Carolina to Massachusetts.

Spread the word as Airheads.org is in the middle of an upgrade and I will
not be able to cancel the event on the WhAIR and When calendar until
September 7th...

We will do it again next year.

Hello Airheads,

I posted this in early July, so just sending again in the hopes this bike
might go to someone local or regional. So far I've only advertised it here
and reposts to the VA and PA lists, but will likely expand that before too
long.

I'm offering my 1981 R100RS for sale. The bike is in great condition, but
over the last two years life and work have kept me from riding enough to
justify keeping it, and this bike deserves to be with someone who will
enjoy it more regularly.

I am the third owner and bought it with 45,950 miles from Chris Kennedy in
January 2018. Chris kept the bike up well with regular services, oil and
filter changes about every 3500 miles plus continuous gearbox, final drive,
brake fluid changes etc., but I'm sad to say I?ve put just over 1000 miles
on it since then. The odometer is currently at 47,006 miles.

The bike has been garage kept, battery kept on a trickle when not in use,
and gas winterized each year. Starts right up and is in decent, ridable
condition, though it's due for a new set of tires and a service before
taking it out for regular riding.

The add-ons and extras make this bike. It has a number of nice upgrades
including a billet San Jose fork brace,  and a custom fabricated luggage

I'm flexible on price, but starting at $6,500 since that's what I have in

Hey all,

Hope everyone is well. I put out an announcement a short while ago
mentioning an R65LS that my friend is selling. I made a mistake in my
previous email, my friend - I'll refer to him as Keith from now on, is the
second owner, not first. He bought it mid 1990's and brought it here to MD
in 2010, as marked in the title.

These bikes are pretty rare, only about 6.4 thousand were made and few were
exported here to the states, so definitely a cool bike to get back up and
running.

All the rust on the frame and swingarm is surface rust, nothing has been
rusted through. Everything on the bike is original - the fairings, exhaust,
carb, etc. The previous owner did nothing to it and neither has Keith, he
only replaced the tires and air filter after he bought it. He had plans to
replace the transmission and drive shaft, hence the new parts that you can
see in the pictures, but never went through with it, so he's throwing them
in if a buyer is interested.

Two key things to keep in mind for this bike - unfortunately the tank that
came with it got damaged and he ended up getting rid of it, so no tank on
this bike. And secondly, they moved to Boston and are prepping the house to
be rented so he had to pack some of the parts up - as of now he's still
looking for the second carb.

Don't hesitate to ask for more pictures or information, I'll be more than
happy to provide as much information as you want.
