I guess that was my point, although you said it more eloquently. Who amongst us doesn’t love the simplicity of the /5 headlight?

I think it’s kinda sad how von der Marwitz received so little credit... his ground up re-design laid the foundation for another 25 years of true Airhead engine production....with continued hurrahs to Bob Lutz for seizing the moment (and the re-design) and taking it to an entirely new level with R90S and to Hans Anton Muth for R90S, R100Rs, R80gs and the R45/65

That’s it, Seneca Rocks. Rocketman was a great guy, Jeff something. Probably on ADVrider if I recall correctly.

I believe that was Seneca Rocks.
I came late to the party, but.....
I think the guy that organized FoFs went by the name Rocket Man. I had heard he moved on to another type of motorcycle. He was on the BMWBMW forums. Hmm... I think he also changed his online name to something else. Or maybe it was the other way around. I don’t remember things so well anymore.
I went out to what may have been the last of those events. Rocket Man did not show but we had a good time. I heard stories it used to be quite the event. Certainly a beautiful place to hold a rally. My son tells me the Princess Snowbird campground has a new bathhouse.
