Consider stopping by next year. After all, there are only so many left.... Dale provides a really nice venue for a Tech Day. Or just to stop by and enjoy the company as some did. Certainly there is quite a bit of beautiful country to explore in the area. Overnighters stayed in the garage, apartment, basement, erected hammocks and or camped in tents. Food was great. We all went to town Friday evening and enjoyed our remaining meals at Dale?s. Many interesting bikes. Almost all daily riders. As I had noted before the projects were all interesting. Bill -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: [R80gs40th] Update: Bring a Friend Date: Fri, 21 Jun 2019 12:25:45 -0400 From: Todd Trumbore via R80gs40th Reply-To: Todd Trumbore To: r80gs40th at casano.com Hello BMW Boxer Enthusiasts, It appears as though we have most of the R80GS and R65LS riders signed up that plan on attending. There is still plenty of room for other riders/attendees, so at this time I would like to open the rally up to other BMW boxer enthusiasts, such as the R90S and R100RS riders and other vintage BMW boxer riders as well. If you are already signed up for the rally or have hesitated because you did not have a fellow friend to ride with, now is the time to join us and to ask your friend(s) to join you also on your journey. I know there is still plenty of time left, but I would like to fill the roster, so I have some chance of covering my expenses, at this point, I will be in deep trouble, so please help me recruit some more BMW boxer riders to join in on the celebration. I have a lot planned and we have some really good guests with interesting presentations:not to mention Hans A. Muth's last visit to these shores. We will be covering the last of Hans' design work with BMW, he has put a lot of time and effort into this event, with a very special presentation, that has never before been divulged and you folks will be the first to see and here this news from Hans himself. I've made some changes to the website and decided to keep the rally fee the same, so please help me spread the word and fill the house for this event. I spoke with artist and vintage BMW enthusiast John Ritter recently and he is working on a very special commemorative poster which I'm sure you will like and will be available, Hans A. Muth is providing me with very unique graphic artwork, which I will be using for commemorative T-Shirts, decals, etc. I am working on a commemorative cloisonn? key chain. Hope to see you here in September. www.r80gs.org Thank you and Happy Motoring, Todd Trumbore motorrader at verizon.net --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus -- R80gs40th mailing list R80gs40th at casano.com https://mailman.dudley.nu/mailman/listinfo/r80gs40th Unsubscribe: mail to r80gs40th-unsubscribe at casano.com _______________________________________________ NJairheads mailing list NJairheads at casano.com https://mailman.dudley.nu/mailman/listinfo/njairheads _______________________________________________ NYAirheads mailing list NYAirheads at casano.com https://mailman.dudley.nu/mailman/listinfo/nyairheads From mrc.engr at verizon.net Sat Jul 6 15:03:39 2019 From: mrc.engr at verizon.net (Mike Cecchini) Date: Sat, 6 Jul 2019 15:03:39 -0400 Subject: [MDairheads] --- BMW R nineT/5 References: Message-ID: <7E8AFA55C93743F3B97D9FFD1AFDEE35@mikepc68ba8a02> Let's not forget the on-going final drive failures. https://www.bmwsporttouring.com/topic/55037-the-dreaded-final-drive-failure/?fbclid=IwAR2hppVA5ujkCqdqfLBvmwujvgZXRrMyraPNfY68KuwuyRYxYqdcz_CL1a0 *************************************************** From: "Mac Kirkpatrick https://www.rideapart.com/articles/358363/bmw-new-rninet5-anniversary-edition/ From mrc.engr at verizon.net Sat Jul 6 23:02:15 2019 From: mrc.engr at verizon.net (Mike Cecchini) Date: Sat, 6 Jul 2019 23:02:15 -0400 Subject: [MDairheads] --- BMW FD References: <7E8AFA55C93743F3B97D9FFD1AFDEE35@mikepc68ba8a02> Message-ID: It's still a on-going issue Larry........and some of the parts are not available. Message-ID: Greetings Airheads, I am back from Philmont Scout Ranch with my son and his troop... We hiked 128 miles through the Sangre de Christo mountains over eleven days and truly enjoyed it. We saw antelope, elk, mule deer, turkey, ruffled grouse, had a bear in camp one night, encountered pica and other high elevation small mammals, and even heard the cry of a mountain lion one evening. All in all it was a great trip. We returned Friday evening and by this afternoon I managed to change the oil and check over my trusty R80 for the upcoming weekend. All is well and I am looking forward to getting some riding in and spending time with fellow airheads. Who from Maryland is heading to Grimes this weekend? I will be there by nightfall Friday and possibly earlier. With any luck we'll be missed by the rain we had last year! Was one of the most memorable experiences of my youth! I don't think I'll be making it to Grimes, although hope to, maybe next year. Walter, Allan and I are planning on the RA Rally in Winchester, and LDOS, of course! Best to you and fellow MD Airheads!
