Some of our long time members may remember Clyde Anders who has been a member of DVNR for a very long time but has not been active for the last 10 years or so. Clyde always made a point of looking me up at the "Gathering" to say hello and pay his annual dues. It is with regret that I inform you of his death. His Obituary follows. May he rest in peace.

Obituary of S. Clyde Anders
 
S. Clyde Anders, 69, passed away at his residence in Norristown, PA on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.?

?

Born February 20, 1950 in Norristown,? he was a son of the late S. Clyde Sr. and Anna May (Schramm) Anders. He was a graduate of Wissahickon High School and earned his bachelor?s degree from Franklin & Marshall College.

?

Clyde wore a lot of hats in his life. At one time or another, he wore the title of: electrician, construction foreman, teacher, coach, maintenance man, retiree, motorcycle racer, husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He was also a long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 98. He attended Olivet-Schwenkfelder United Church of Christ. Much of his free time was spent on motorcycles, antique cars, and adventurous road trips. Clyde also enjoyed time at the beach, especially while in Ventnor, NJ. His greatest love was his family and he cherished time with his grandson.

?

Surviving is a daughter, Sara Richichi and her husband, Brian, of Fort Washington, PA; his brother, P. Frank Anders, of Blue Bell, PA; and his grandson, Emmitt.

?

He was preceded in death by his son, A. Paul Anders, in 2016.

?

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Olivet-Schwenkfelder United Church of Christ, 619 Township Line Road, East Norriton, PA. Family will receive friends from 9am-10am. The service will begin at 10am and luncheon to follow until 12pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to American Cancer Society online at cancer.org/JoinTheFight. Arrangements are by R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. of Skippack, PA. Pursuant to last month's meeting, I checked into renting a 15 passenger van to take us to Jersey City.
Id be willing to drive it and? can pick it up @ Enterprise near me Sat night and return it Sun evening. It will cost around $325 plus gas and tolls. We can have one or two meeting places, to pick up passengers Maybe one in PA and one in NJ? I assume the travel route will be along I-78???
Maybe we can get a definite head count at the Christmas Party - and I can make a reservation. If we dont need that large a vehicle (ie., less than 8 people) we can get away with a mini-van - or maybe a smaller passenger van.
I welcome input from those intending to go.

Good work. Lets see how many are interested in a car pool arrangement. Last
time we went Pat had his van and he took a bunch. Most of the guys from

Just a reminder. Parking is limited on my driveway. Some can park alongside my neighbors driveway it runs alongside my drive. 
Over flow can park on Crestview Dr. it?s across my house off North Wales Rd.  I have Christmas lights out yonder so you can see where to walk in.

Clyde always made a point of looking me up at the "Gathering" to say hello and pay his annual dues. It is with regret that I inform you of his death. His Obituary follows. May he rest in peace.

Obituary of S. Clyde Anders
 
S. Clyde Anders, 69, passed away at his residence in Norristown, PA on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.?

?

Born February 20, 1950 in Norristown,? he was a son of the late S. Clyde Sr. and Anna May (Schramm) Anders. He was a graduate of Wissahickon High School and earned his bachelor?s degree from Franklin & Marshall College.

?

Clyde wore a lot of hats in his life. At one time or another, he wore the title of: electrician, construction foreman, teacher, coach, maintenance man, retiree, motorcycle racer, husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He was also a long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 98. He attended Olivet-Schwenkfelder United Church of Christ. Much of his free time was spent on motorcycles, antique cars, and adventurous road trips. Clyde also enjoyed time at the beach, especially while in Ventnor, NJ. His greatest love was his family and he cherished time with his grandson.

?

Surviving is a daughter, Sara Richichi and her husband, Brian, of Fort Washington, PA; his brother, P. Frank Anders, of Blue Bell, PA; and his grandson, Emmitt.

?

He was preceded in death by his son, A. Paul Anders, in 2016.

?

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Olivet-Schwenkfelder United Church of Christ, 619 Township Line Road, East Norriton, PA. Family will receive friends from 9am-10am. The service will begin at 10am and luncheon to follow until 12pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to American Cancer Society online at cancer.org/JoinTheFight. Arrangements are by R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. of Skippack, PA. We're continuing to cut back on our vintage Brit bikes.
The plan is to sell these 3 BSAs sometime during 2020.
No real rush...but if interested send me an email.

My guess is sometime in the spring, after the big Las Vegas auction...they will go up on Ebay

I?ve written in early December that the January membership meeting will be
held at the shop of Kenny Cummings in Jersey City (street address to
follow) on our regular meeting date of the third Sunday or specifically Jan
19, 2020. Our target start time will be the normal 11AM.



Arriving on time will be of importance because the building is locked and
there is no doorman waiting to let you in. Kenny?s shop is on an upper
floor and the door is not visible from the windows. I?m saying this because
it will be best to enter as a group although if you are late you could call
Pres George to send someone to let you in.



We will be having a lunch at the shop. We will have to bring EVERYTHING
with us for the lunch so we need a good head count. Replying a few days
before is just down right inconsiderate! I know some of the members who
committed to go and will list them below. If you plan to go please reply to
the list or reply to my email directly: dansellers45 at gmail.com or
dsellerspa at verizon.net.



Once I have the list I will send another email through ?emailDodo? so you
can see if you can arrange to car pool.

Dan - when I sent the group email about the possiblity of renting a van, I heard back from several folks who you list. I notice that Bruce Macphail is missing from the list, but he had indicated to me that he was going.? Since it doesnt look like we are renting a van - or have enough folks who wanted to - just a heads up in case he doesnt reply!
